THE WORLD OF FICTION, POETRY, ARTICLES, AND ADVICE FROM A WORLD TRAVELER.
I'm Elena, an aspiring writer from Greece who loves to travel. I started my studies at Emory University where I majored in creative writing and political science. Moving to Atlanta, I experienced my first cultural shock. After I graduated from Emory in 2018, I moved to New York to work as a marketing coordinator for Mana Products. Now, you will find me in D.C. where I'm doing my master's in journalism at Georgetown University as an Onassis Foundation scholar. In my spring semester (2020), I also interned at the press office of the Greek Embassy in D.C. For my remaining year at Georgetown, I've been nominated to serve as a secretary for the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ Georgetown Chapter.) This past summer (2020), I interned for CNN Greece and continued to freelance for them in the fall. Now, I'm interning for the Minotaur Group, a geopolitics consultancy firm, where I work on their newsletter and social media platforms.
Florida, Kansas, Germany, Austria, France, the UK, Italy, and Turkey. My biggest passions are writing, children, food & travel, and nature & the environment. Here you'll find some of my articles, poems, fiction stories, and life advice. Enjoy!
